Something is making a noise

so i was benchmarking just for fun and i set the resolution beyond my monitor and all the sudden i get this little scratching noise and it gets a little loader so i stop immediately to not damage anything but what would have caused this noise because my fans are all in silent mode and my psu and gpu have a zero spin setting until they hit 60C and my pc was only at 45 during heavy benchmarking

it seems most likely a Hard drive is failing

No because it only makes a very faint noise when i do heavy benchmarks i just bought the hdd less than a week ago

still seems like a failing HDD, I've been sent some new HDD's that fail as soon as I plug em in.

well thats not the issue now, not my cpu is at 3800 mhz and it base is supposed to be 3500 and im not running any thing heavy

never mind it dropped down to 799 thank god

Well, open the case (remove the side panel) and run the heavy benchmark that was giving you the noise before. This time you can hone in on where the noise is coming from better.
