Question What would I be forced to change in my current PC if I upgrade the GPU?

Hello,

I feel it is time to upgrade my GPU (a beloved Asus ROG 1080Ti OC), but I would like to understand if my PC can currently handle a modern graphic card.

I am looking for a 4070ti Super which would be a great upgrade for 1440p gaming (if I find a decent price), 4080/4090 seems completely gone or crazy overpriced; the 5000 series doesn't seem really worth it.

1)What would be an "honest" price (in €) for an used 4070ti Super?

I know already that I will face some bottleneck because of my CPU, but I don't have the budget to buy other components too, so I thought to buy the card now and then upgrade CPU/MOBO, etc later this year or next one.

I assume that, even if bottlenecked, the performance would be still exponentially better than my current card on modern games?

2) what I also would like to know is if there is anything else that must be upgraded to make my PC work with the new card. Do I have to replace my PSU for example?

My current configuration:
Monitor Asus PG34WCDM 3440x1440 240Hz
CPU i9 9900K
MOBO Z390-E Gaming
RAM 32GB
PSU Cooler Master V750 Gold

thank you in advance for any advice.

How old is the PSU in your build?

How much have you allocated towards your GPU purchase?

If you're looking at 1440p, you should be aiming at a RX 9070/RX 9070 XT.

I second going with a 9070xt.

Can't remember exactly, but about 7 years (bought it with the rest of the componentes and i remember the cpu being top of the gamma at the time so must have been 2018-2019, the gpu was the only component i kept from previous pc)

I see...i want to point out that my resolution is 3440x1440 as i have an ultra wide monitor...but i guess the results would be similar?

I am considering the 9070xt too, but never had a radeon before.
