So recently i built a new computer
Gtx 1080 (palit gamerock)
I5 6600k
16gb Corsair dominator 2666
MSI z270 so2 (mobo)
Some random 1tb drive and a samsung 250 gb ssd

And the problem is that when I use 100% of my cpu my gpu won't get over 15% but when the cpu is under 30% the gpu is working fine at 100%, and i can't find any solution to this problem

i know it's not my psu because I had it in a computer with an fx-8320(oc to 4ghz) and the same gpu and everything was working perfectly fine

Also nothing is thermal throttling

Where it's probably prudent of me to ask what is causing 100% usage....

Keep in mind that every process your computer performs is at the behest of the CPU. It is the "brain" telling the rest of the body parts what to do. If the CPU is too loaded with task(s) then it cannot send the amount of information to the GPU for it to be levied.

GPU and CPU in pc do different jobs, and this situation is normal. But I think your CPU choice is bad. For this card, you must use a minimum I7 6700 or his new analog i3 10100
