Hi experts

I have a Sony XR90K LED TV, which, according to the specifications, supports Dolby Atmos audio.

I want to know whether the TV’s built-in speakers is compatible with Dolby Atmos sound or do I need to connect an Atmos-compatible soundbar.

The reason I’m asking is that when I use the built-in Netflix app, some TV shows that support Dolby Atmos display the Dolby Atmos logo.

Does this mean the TV’s built-in speakers support Dolby Atmos.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I have one more question:

Should I use the built-in Google TV OS, or should I plug in the 4K Max Fire TV Stick to my TV?

I’m asking because the Google TV OS and its apps often hang, while the Fire TV Stick runs smoothly — I’m already using it on another TV, and it has never hung.

If I plug in the Fire TV Stick, will it affect the picture quality?

My Fire TV Stick supports features like Dolby Vision, HDR10+, etc.

I hope my question is clear.

I mean you could run with it, but you aren't going to get the true Atmos experience. The built-in speakers aren't upwards facing which means it won't sound the same. A soundbar would definitely be preferred in this situation. I would recommend switching to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max if you experience hanging a lot. The Fire TV OS is more optimal for what you are looking for. Also, plugging in the Fire TV stick will not have any affect on the picture quality in the slightest.

You said affect picture quality in the slightest.

Why is that?

I believe all processing will be done by Tv processor & its enhancer motions and all...

So it should be same whether we stream inbuilt apps or through firestick
