But I have flashed a SAS controller from a USB stick and it wasn't a problem for me. I didn't need a floppy for that.
 

He's talking about Windows XP, which requires you either slipstream the driver (a big pain) or haul out the floppy drive (a small pain).
 
I thought they would have already created a floppy disk out of silicon chips, fitting in a Floppy Disk Station, but based on another technology much faster than the original floppies...
