Hello,There is no option to boot from a cd in the BIOS of my Sony laptop ?

There should be. It may not be aparent at first it could say something like; HL-DT-ST DVD++RW GH0192HG. It may not say just CD. Use a process of elimination, not usb, not network, Not HDD, not Floppy etc and just eliminate 1 by 1
