This is good to see. I was doing a bit of research on this earlier in the year, but ended up deciding to get a PS4 controller. It seems like Sony is genuinely pushing to make their controller as Windows-friendly as the Xbox controller.

Choosing the worst controller over a) the kb/m superior to any controller or b) the best controller (xbox as it always has been). It baffles the mind. I guess if someone already owns just a Playstation and really doesn't want to spend anything, while also playing one of the very few games more suited to a controller like competitive fighting games, that's a very narrow use case.
