I recently bought a TV but I'm about to return it since whenever the screen panned in a show it was really chunky.
So I've been looking at a ton of TV's and reviews to see what TV would have the best refresh rate and make the panning less harsh and I found 2 TV's I'm trying to decide to get but I don't know exactly which one would be better for my problem
Here are both TV's
------
Sony KDL40R510C 40-Inch 1080p Smart LED TV (2015 Model)
-------
VIZIO E40-C2 40-Inch 1080p Smart LED TV (2015 Model)
-------
The sony has "Refresh Rate: 60Hz (Native); Motionflow XR 120 (Effective)"
While the Vizio has
"120Hz Effective Refresh Rate, Clear Action 240."
Which TV would be the best?

Neither, both are native 60 Hz. The "effective" is Vizio's clever marketing. If you want smooth playback while watching a blu ray or whatnot, then a native 120 Hz TV is what you want, not interpolation, unless you prefer the look of interpolated frames vs frame repeat.

Where are you buying from, and how much are you willing to spend?

I have a amazon gift card so I'd do that and try not to spend over 400$
