sony tv hdmi pc connection issues

trying to connect my pc to our sony bravia 40inch 1080p r45 tv via an hdmi cable but it keeps displaying the no signal warning yet when itry with my windows 8 laptop,it seems to work just fine!!

Have you tried updating your graphics card and doing a fresh install of the drivers? Also, have you tried using a different HDMI Lead on your pc going to the screen?

I'm guessing you're using the same cable on the laptop? But try a different one anyways! You never know, also try a monitor with the PC, or a VGA or DVI if your pc supports it to make sure it's out putting

Video set for multiple monitors?
That's a prime requirement.

You don't reveal what kind of video you have in the PC. That might help to know.
Is it onboard? Got a video card? Brand of MB and card?

ok try this i had windows 8 but i change it to windows 7 . i have a intel hd graphics 3000, in setting set
resolution = 1280x768
color depth = 32bits
frecuency somthig = 59p Hz (important)
and its done
but try to connect your pc after you do this and in your tv setting go settings > hdmi controlet yes and then (also in settings) select refresh hdmi controler list and you are ready to go
