sony vaio 7162 i startup issues

My sony laptop I replaced the AC jack and now when I turn it on it runs for about 20 sec then cuts off. just on battery power or plugged in even plugged in with battery removed same problem. Thanks for any ideas

What do you mean by AC jack?

Yes it is new and fit great
