Sony vaio laptop freezes whilein fullnscreen

while viewing a movie in full screen it freezes for a while i have to press esc to continue

more information like what app are u using to play the movie what kind of movies are they and lastly SYSTEM SPECS.

Sorry I am running windows 7 64bit and this happens on the i-player but i noticed that the same is on you-tube even VLC apps
THE SONY VAIO IS VGN-FZ21M
INTEL CORE 2 DUO T7250
WITH A MEMORY OF 2GB OF RAM
GRAFIC CARD IS NVIDIA GEOFORCE 8400M GPU
