Sony Vaio SVE151D11L Display Flicker

I've had a long journey with this. Someone stepped on my laptop, so I replaced the screen. This was the second time I've replaced it, and it worked just fine last time. This time, something happened. The backlight went out. Three different people have tried working on it, but nobody can seem to solve the issue. A new motherboard was my only option. Well it used to work when hooked up to an external monitor via HMDI. Now, it flickers. I'm planning on selling the computer, but I need to transfer files, etc and it's hard to navigate when the display is constantly blinking on and off. Think there might be an easy fix to this particular issue? The model is SVE151D11L.

Aside from fixing the laptop, to pull your files off you should just take the hard drive out and get a sata to usb connection.

So did the LCD worked last time and via HDMI out? This time it isn't working via LCD and flickering through the HDMI out?
