So I'm looking for a new TV for gaming, it'll be for my PC and consoles and of course watching TV. I've narrowed it down to these two:

Sony 50W705BBU 50 Inch

and

Panasonic TX-50A400B 50 Inch

I'm leaning more towards the Panasonic because it has a 0.001 millisecond response time. I can't find the Sony response time but I did find out that it has "motionflow" which I hear was amazing for gaming but then other people were saying it's a terrible gimmick. (It sounds like the refresh rate is increased, but surely response time is increased too since I can't imagine them going on about smooth fast motion while forgetting about ghosting? It says 400Hz "motion rate")

If anyone has a better TV at 50 inch for a similar price then I'd appreciate the suggestion, I'm looking for picture quality and a freeview tuner above all else.

If you don't have any other suggestions which TV would you go with and why?

Thanks!

Plasma is better than LED in my opinion. Sure they consume bit more power than led, but the picture quality is much better. Unless you can afford oled then go with that. I just hate backlight unevenness in led screens.
After looking through a lot of Panasonic reviews there are people saying that the picture is the blurriest they've ever seen when a scene moves quickly and that the backlighting is really uneven.

There isn't much info on the Sony when it comes to gaming. Anyone got info on Motionflow?

Does anyone know of a decent 50 inch TV?

Yeah, I'd happily go with Samsung! I've heard they generally have the best screen quality, is that true?

By the way should I go with a plasma or an LED? I just found a reasonably priced LG Plasma. All I can find in Samsung in my area are LED.
