[SOLVED] sooo.... my cpu is bottlenecking pretty hard and im at a deadend

specs:
gtx 1070 8gb
asus h81-m plus
ddr3 16 gb
samsung ssd 250 gb
intel I5 4590 3.30ghz (can't overclock)

i tried alot of options to fix the bottlenecking of my computer but it seems ive just come to a dead end if anyone has any optinos or ideas to try to fix this issue it would be much appreciated!

If you are on a tight budget and a new system isn't possible, check prices on used i7 47xx/K/S models. An i7-4770 (or 4790) is about as fast or a bit slower than a Ryzen 5 2600 or 1600 AF (same Zen+ as 2600) in games. Even a 4770s (lower power model) at 3.1Ghz base would be an upgrade for multi-threaded games and will get you up to around 75-85fps at 1080p maxed or mostly maxed with a GTX 1070 in quite a lot of the more demanding...
Agreed. The days of 4 core (no HT) CPUs are over, at least as far as gaming is concerned. You could upgrade to 4th gen i7 (say, i7 4790 or i7 4770) and that would remove some of the bottleneck for sure, but such CPUs are quite expensive even 2nd hand. Your call.
