Sound card at esata port

HI people,
I have a small doubt.
My on board audio card has stopped working and the only port in working condition is my eSata port.
So can i plug in an external usb soundcard at my eSata port?

Some eSata ports are merged with USB ports. So practically, when your external USB soundcard is connected to your eSata port, it is only connected to the USB port within. This specific port is likely connected to another USB/Media controller than your other USB ports.
