Hi guys,

I need a good sound card for my speakers. On-board sounds arent good enough. Any recommendations? I really appreciate it :)
These are few of my current specs (that is related) :
Motherboard : Asrock z77 extreme 4
PSU: Seasonic s12ii 620W (if the card requires power)
Speakers: logitech z120 2.1 speakers
Headphone: Seinnheiser hd 215

Only the best, if you use headphones: the Asus Xonar Essence STX, with built-in quality headphone amp and, for tweakers, replaceable op-amps. This card is so brilliant that it can control whether the front-panel output is line-out or headphone amp, and uses relays to do so. Total isolation.

Headphones, all open-back
AKG K701
Audio Technica ATH-AD700. And they are purple!
Sennheiser 497, a great classic

It's hard these days to find a 2.1 card, most every card you'll look at will be 7.1.

Look into the ASUS Xonar line, they have a card for pretty much every price point, and all opinionated squabbling aside, ASUS uses the highest quality DACs of any of the sound card manufacturers, they're absolutely crystal clear.

Shoot for the D1 or the DX if you want the best possible sound for a reasonable price.

Good Luck!
