Sound card not recognised

I recently installed windows 10 on my friend's PC (hp compaq dc 7900 i think, pretty old), he had win8 and everything was fine, now the sound card is not recognised by windows. also the drivers don't recognise the sound card (soundcard- cmedia cmi8734)

Welp straight from C-Media: "For CMI873x or CMI876x series, C-Media no longer support Win10 driver."

Sadly not seeing any third party drivers out there. Were it a higher end chip, maybe.

You can try this, but I doubt it would work: http://uni.maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/

The ASUS Xonar has an 8788 chip in it, and it is my driver of choice for the last discrete sound card I still have.
