Hello there,
I have a (musical) keyboard that I plug in via USB in Ableton I have a latency of 30ms using built in motherboard sound. If I get a sound card will the audio, from the keyboard, even though it is plugged in via usb be processed in the sound card not the built in motherboard sound.
If so then what is a good sound card, for under £25 that is PCI, that will reduce latency significantly.
One thing to note is the motherboard was £40 so the motherboard sound will not be hard to beat!
Thanks.

Okay thanks for that.
I'm guessing with the onboard sound disabled then the computer would be forced to use the sound card.
Can you find me one for even cheaper though?
Thanks

Thanks this looks very good and supports asio.
But on the description it says this: "Asynchronous digital audio buffer to provide accurate timing, the minimum number of jitter"
Does this mean there will be more latency due to the buffer?
Thanks
