A couple of days ago, the sound on my pc started to fade in and out. It does this on every program that emits sound. I've run virus scans, registry repair, computer cleanup, defrag, checked my cords (the issue occurs on headset at same time), updated drivers (says sound drivers are already up to date), etc.

I've browsed the web, but as yet haven't been able to find a solution, so I came here where I almost always get help.

As always, any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.

No custom sound card. Just the mobo sound. I think it's a jack. Which means I'll need to get a card.
