Hello al,
Last night I had virus attack on my pc & I installed eset & cleared the viruses, since then I am not able to play audio.
I re-installed the audio drivers also.
"Win media player cannot play the file because there is a problem with r sound device. there might not be a sound device installed on computer. it might be use by other program or it might be not functioning properly "

thanks & Regards.

Try these:
> Click start and open Run, type in services.msc and hit enter. A services window will appear, scroll down to 'Windows Audio', double click it and set the Startup type to automatic(if it is set to something else). Also go to service status and start it if not already running
> Try another media player(like VLC/KMP player)
> Plug in a headphone to test the soundcard, tell us what you hear
