\Hello all
I have an isue with my windows xp machine
I keep getting a sound loop in games
Its usually npcs but the sound just keeping looping and won't go away. I can leave the area and the sound goes away however

I am guessing this is likely to do with sound acceleration

any ideas?

Is those events related to system crashing or freezing? If yes, then the looping sound may just be a side effect, not necessarily a sign there is actually a bug with the sound system at all.
nope the game continues to play as usual but a single sound will keep looping like a gunshot will keep playing over and over

Ok, so then there is a bug, either in game or driver, maybe both. Or there may be a hardware error. I assume this must be a pretty old computer?

yeh its a new computer built with old parts

its a 32 bit system with a ram unlock so its got 8gb ram
