I own a Asus Laptop (Windows 10) and recently i have updated to build 1511, and there is no audio coming through my speakers, i have changed drivers, uninstalled, and re-installed them, and still nothing, currently on the Realtek drivers, and I was on the High Definition Audio device originally, in the playback device setting it shows the green thing going up and down as sound is playing, but again, nothing is coming out of the speakers, if i put my Headphone/Earplugs into the audio jack, sound plays, i know nothing is making the sensor think there is something in the audio jack, clean, because when you are using the High Definition Audio device, you have to change between Headphones and Speakers. Someone please help.

Solution
Hi,

Do plug in your headphone again then right click on the speaker icon and select Playback Devices. Select speaker as your default playback device, click Apply and OK then see if it will play thru the speakers. If it will play disconnect the headphone and observe if it continue playing using the speaker. If all these will not work here are more troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Do uninstall/reinstall the sound card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the sound card driver.
- Open Asus Support site, download and install the latest driver there is.
- Once installed reboot your laptop and see if the sound will work after the reboot.
- If all these will not work do a System Restore, restore you laptop back to an earlier date...

- Worst case if System Restore will still not work is you may need to run a complete factory reset.
