sound not working

so i recently installed a new graphics card into my pc, but both front and back panel sound stopped working altoghether. I'm inserting the headphones into the green slot and i'm certain that the headphones work. When looking at sound shortcut, it says that speaker is not plugged and hd audio devices are also not plugged in. I don't know what to do help pls.

Try clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for a minute). If still no go, try uninstalling, restarting and then reinstalling the audio driver.
A last option would be adding a sound card, if PCIE slot available.
