Sound problem

i just built a new computer with a gfx card with HDMI out. the sound will work fine out of there, however i cant get any sound out through my computer speakers then. i use the hdmi to hook up my tv. i f i hook one the other wont work. i would like to be able to use my HDMI cable and my 5.1 speakers connected to my computer. is this possible?

ok i just figured out the problem. i think lol. it will let me have speakers or spdif as default but not both. is this possible to have it set up as both.

some one has to have some idea if this is possible.
