Sound transmitting without mic??

So i was cleaning my room and had Spotify playing pretty loud through my hyper x cloud 2's and then joined my friends discord iwthout the mic plugged in yet but my friend said he can hear my music and later showed me. How is sound being picked up if i don't have a mic plugged it just a question as i'm super confused

maybe you had stereo mix enabled instead of your microphone,stereo mix transmits everything you are listening to just like a mic transmits your voice

How do i know it is enabled, i see it in the recordings but not only does nothing show up/move when playing the music, it is not enabled

depends what you use,is it team speak ? sometimes when you plug out your mic or turn it off it automatically switches to the stereo mix because it next in line for recording devices,so it could've been that
