Sound wont work on ubuntu?

My sound is not working at all..its not a hardware problem, Everything is in but for some reason it dont hear anything. Help

I cant figure this out still (accidently pressed the solution button). Yes it detects my card when you check for hardware. I give up

You havn't really said anything other than "it doesn't work"
Most likely there is just some setting misconfigured somewhere.
You havn't give any other information (post output from 'sudo aplay -L') or attempt to use speaker-test to actually test sound connection directly :\

OK guys.I bought speakers..It shows its plugged in..But Nothing still..I see it in sound settings but im still getting no sound

Bought speakers,Plugged em in..And raised all the bars on alsamixer,
