Question Sourcing for GTX 1060 Mobile HeatSink | Cooling

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know where a heatsink for a GTX 1060 mobile can be found?

Could you elaborate more about the system where the GPU is located.

Usually, a GTX 1060 mobile GPU comes soldered to laptop motherboards with a proprietary heatsinks from the laptop manufacturer.

Yup as @jojesa said, contact the manufacturer of your laptop and see if they have anything available. I would not be surprised if nothing is still available for something of that age, but you never know.

It's a system76 oryx pro 4 laptop.
It's removable however they do not have any more on hand.

I'm seeing other machines like the origin with the same internal and heatsink however; yet to find a place where I can salvage one and or fix the fan. The fan is intermittent and overheats -> shutdown of the system.

Replace the fan then. No need to get the whole heatsink, would likely be just as old and just as likely to fail.

Laptop fans generally have part numbers and manufacturers.

If the issue is the exhaust GPU fan, then many manufacturers use the same units.
Look at the model and power connector and get a similar unit.
