My girlfriend and I live in the USA, but she wants to give his mother in Spain a computer for Christmas present. I know that I need a converter for the voltage difference, but I don't know how to get a Spanish language version of XP. Is it a CD that is completely in Spanish or I need to install Spanish on top of the English version? Where can I get a copy of this Spanish-language XP Home?

You won't need a converter for the power. I assume spain uses 220v? Just switch the powersupply to 220v mode, good luck finding a power cord for it though :)
As for spanish XP home I think you can choose spanish language during the install of an international cd. Or order xp home from the microsoft spanish site :)

power cords are easy to order, they just plug in.

I dont know what kind of outlets spain has but if they are different from ours it might be sort of difficult to find one here in the US.

You don't need a converter for the computer. Just buy a European 220V power cord. They should be the same as the ones in Germany. Make sure the voltage setting is switched to 220V on the PSU. As far as a Spanish XP, your best bet is find out if she (girlfriend's mother) can get it in Spain. Probably your cheapest route. Got a copy in German but I don't think that'll help you much.

Possibly but I've never tried it. I have the German version of XP.
