Question SPDIF not working on ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A

Hello all,

Just recently did an upgrade to an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A and Ryzen 7 5700X3D from an i9-9900k. My last motherboard was a ASUS Prime Z390-A. I had my soundbar connected to the motherboard via SPDIF and everything was working fine but once I did the upgrade my soundbar no longer appears in Windows 11. I factory reset the soundbar and installed RealTek and audio drivers for the new motherboard but still nothing. I'm not entirely sure what to do. I don't see SPDIF in the onboard settings in BIOS. I saw the red light coming through to the soundbar but I think it disappeared when I disabled HD Audio Control in the BIOS.

I looked online but didn't see anyone else have this problem. I also have Steel Series Sonar enabled from Steel Series GG for my Arctis Nova 7 if that has anything to do with it.

I do not see any question marks or abnormal device drivers in device manager.

Make sure the spdif port is enabled in the sound settings.
Then click on the speaker icon for the volume control on the desktop. and select the spdif port.
