Speakers and display

I have 5.1 speakers and I would like to know how close I can put them from the display. Is there any possibility that the magnetic field from the speakers damage the display permanently?

I very seriously doubt it would cause any damage. Just move them closer until the display starts to distort, and then move them back a bit.

It'll take quite a while to permanently damage your monitor.

Most of the computer speaker is magnetic sheild so it should not affect the monittor.
