speakers have to be default device

hi guys, i recently just got the edifier 2730db speakers and astro a40 tr with mixamp. i llike to the use the surround sound on my headphones which requires me to put the "astro a40 voice" as default communication deviceand the spdif output on my soundcard as the default device, if i want to put surround on with the click of a button. But sadly my speakers dont play sound if i have something else as default device. Is there a fix around this? sounds lazy but it just becomes a pain when im swapping.

I Have 4 Sources I swap between so I know how much of a pain it can be, this was one of the easiest methods I found.
