Question Speakers not working but Headset is

Hello,

So my problem is that when I use my headset as the audio output device and plug it out to plug in the speakers they don't work, the only way for them to work is to restart the whole PC with the speakers plugged in so that the speakers work. I find this to be weird and I couldn't find a fix at all wish you could help me and thanks in advance.

My bad, what I meant to ask is did your headphones come with drivers. it's curious becasue I have a extension coming from my audio port and I go the same with no issue. Confirm we're talking both are attached using a common 3.5mm audio plug?

My headset has a USB cable only. And no it didn't come with any drivers.

It's my understanding if you leave the speakers plugged they should mute when you plug in the headphones. None of these fixed the issue, I'm sorry but I don't know how the first link is useful because the problem I have is in the speakers, not the headset.

Just out of curiosity, I am assuming that you plug your speakers in the front audio port. Does the problem occurs also if you plug them in the audio port at the back of the computer?
