Speakers stutter sound after crash

Stuttering/buzzing sound from 5.1 speakers after AoE2 crashed.
Only occurs when the green cable is plugged in.
Doesn't matter if speakers are disabled, or another set are the default comms device.
Persists through PC restart.
Drivers are in date.

Im at a loss here, please help

Its a 7.1 surround sound card in a PICE slot

try the card in another system and if it does the same this green connector have a ground issue you might need to rma this sound card .

This has fixed itself, after installing a system care tool it seems to have solved the issue. I dont know whether drivers or something else was the problem

if your gaming and you have a cheap or low wattage speakers whe nthe power supply craps out the sound card will go nuts. (pick ups all of the electrical noise of your pc.).
