I am looking to build a PC for work. I do GIS (Esri ArcMap) and PC work and I need a fast system with a lot of memory, but I don't want to spend a fortune on Memory. I read that it is best to keep the memory speed at the recommended speed of the processor since the memory controller is built into the CPU.
With that said, DDR 3 1600 or PC3 12800 is what the INTEL CPU's run at, should I get faster memory? I am not up to date on current chipsets, so I don't know what is the best to get, but I want to get an Intel CPU with 6 cores.
The Motherboard needs to support at least 3 PCI slots. I have an OCZ Revo 3 x2 HDD, so I need a PCI x4 slot and I was looking at two Nvidia 770GTX video cards.
With that said, can anyone recommend me a CPU, Motherboard and Memory? I was looking at these components, but then I read a thread that said the X79 Chipset was old out running it's course. Also, I am not sure if socket 2011 is the way to go or a different one.

Would this be a good system? Motherboard, I am unsure of. I would of liked to get the a GIGABYTE GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI but none in stock at Newegg and I have to purchase all the parts at the same place. They also didn't have the GA-X79-UD7.
