Z170-HD3P Gigabyte Motherboard, Intel i5-6600K @ 3.50 w/ 16MB RAM, 1TB SSD "C" drive, win 10 with 700MB free space. All photos on Lacie 2Big Dock Thunderbolt 3. Also installed are a 250 SSD and 125 SSD and I just installed a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD. Should I move Win 10 and everything to the M.2 SSD or just move LR & PS to that drive for best speed and performance? I have been upgrading and have plenty of options. I just need to configure them all so I can work as efficient as possible. I am addicted to speed I guess...

Thanks for any advice.

Solution
So physically move the original photos or current ones I am working on to the new drive? Use the Lacie as a backup storage for photos only?
Just start using the new drive for new things, or move all current stuff as well.
Either way works.

And yes, use the external LaCie for backups, because you NEED backups.
What specific drive type is the OS and LR/PS on now?

I'd be inclined to leave that on the current SSD, and use the new 1TB NVMe as working space for your images, etc.
Which is exactly what I did with my system when adding a 1TB Intel 660p to the mix.
