Currently using 2 year old Dimension 4300S with rated 1.5GB processor speed.
Is there any way to increase this wiithout having to buy a newer PC?

Thanks, Ricko

Are you just concerned with processor speed? Sending email to Dell should
get you the highest processor supported by the board and BIOS. eBay is one
source for used processors.

How much do you want to spend?

How much memory does it have? Probably the cheapest, quickest performance
boost if you have less than 512MB. (Assuming XP)

What do you have for video? And does it have an available video card slot?

You into overclocking? Well forget it, because Dell motherboards can't be
overclocked. And without overclocking, your processor won't run any faster
than its rated speed.

In any case, you'll get more speed with a faster hard disk and a more
powerful video card than by juicing (or upgrading) the processor.
