i really need some help with speedfan and some of the sensors it has found.. most of them are in the 30-45 C range so i figure those must be correct.. problem is i do not know what they are detecting i have figured out the cpu.. but i do not know what the other are detecting

any and all help would be nice!!!

sensors i have questions about:
chip =lm84 sensor =local temp bus =nforce2 smbus
chip =max1617 sensor =local temp bus =i2cnvidia smbus
chip =max1617 sensor =remote temp bus =i2cnvidia smbus
chip =acpi sensor =called temp1 bus =isa

im guessing 2 might be my graphic card which is a leadtech 6800 gt and it does(confirmed) have 2 sensors but i do not know what they are

hey wusy... yea i used to use mbm5 but i wanted to be able to change the fanspeed hence the change in program to 'speedfan'

speedfan scans alot more sensors than mbm5 adn that is why i got alot more sensor readouts.. which i assume it detected the sensors on my graphic card

i do have the latest forceware and can see the temps.. while 1 matches a readout on speedfan the other does not so i dont know if it is detecting them or not

back to the mobo part.. you dont happen to know what certain sensors are do ya... im going to guess a nb and maybe a sb sensor.. but those truely are just guesses and i wouldnt know which ones are which even if my assumption is correct

i just wish google was being nice to me this week!

ok when you say one is 'mobo' is that the nb
'one is on chip' is that the cpu
and under being under the cpu??

just trying to clarify

thx for your reply!!

nf7-s 2600xp oced to 3200 speed fsb 210
3500 kingston hyper-x ddr 2x512 CL2 (discontinued, they only have CL2.5 now

hitachi 2x80gb in raid0

yea i understand that mobo = motherboard.. but i wanted to know more specific of wehre that sensor is on the mobo like for example the nb=northbridge or southbridge fsb controller etc

I dont know off hand where the mobo sensor is. It just gives ambient temps, for the mobo. It's located away from any major heat, and just gives the temp inside the case.
One of the sensors you are seeing is the Amd ,on die sensor. The third sensor is built into the mobo, in the space that is open, under where the chip sits.

ok thx alot for you help

on another forum i foudn that the 2 'max' sensors are my graphic card readouts

so that pretty much takes care of my questions!!
