Speedfan temperature question

So, I ran Prime95 for around 2 minutes with my FX-8350 (with hyper 212 EVO, standard thermal paste it came with) and temp2 got up to around 57c, and temp1 got up to around 43. So, does that mean temp2 is CPU and temp1 is motherboard? and temp 3 is some random thing? I am still not sure because my motherboard (msi 970a-g46) has a reputation of getting MOSFETS hot quickly. Any input is appreciated. By the way, I went into my BIOS, left it open for around 10 minutes and the temp hovered around 42c (the temp at which temp1 is at during prime95 and gaming) and motherboard was around 24c the whole time. So it could be temp1 is CPU and temp3 is motherboard and temp2 is something else. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

What is your motherboard?

If it's an ASUS motherboard, I'd just use the AI Suite. It's far more accurate.

You will basically have to figure it out, as the sensors are unlabelled. 24 sounds right for the motherboard, temp2 is probably Vcore1 or Vcore2.

Wow! Thanks so much! All the voltages are accurate too. I never knew this existed! I thank you! I am so obsessive about my temps. I'm constantly looking at my other monitor in games. Thanks again! Best answer to you.

I have the 8350 as well, with an H100 OC'd @ 4.8

I find it does run hot in Prime95, but 90% of the games out there won't take advantage of all 8 cores, so Prime95 isn't really a realistic benchmark for the temps on that chip. I usually get about 55C in the chip
65 would be hot, 70 would be the max you want to hit.

Yeah. I just ran Prime95 for 5 minutes and didn't go over 50c. I have no OC.

Run it until the temperature is stable. I'd leave it for a good 30 minutes or so if you want a real idea of the temperatures at full load. It does 8 different tests in the benchmark mode, let it go through all of them a couple times.

But 50 is fine, there's nothing to worry about
