is the spell check option enabled for Outlook express? In Outlook express
click the Tools option on the main toolbar. From the drop down menu select
Options. In the Options window click the Spelling tab. At the top of the
window you will see a section marked Settings. Just beneath this you will
see an option 'always check spelling before sending' Make sure there is a
check mark in the box on the left of this option to enable it. After you
have enabled the option click the Apply button followed by OK.

Outlook Express uses the spellchecker from MS Word or MS Office so you need
to have one of these installed first. You then need to search on the web for
a file called "csapi3t1.dll" and copy it to the folder "Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof". You might need to restart Windows but the
spell checker should work now.

Cheers.
