So I have this game who is 7.5 GB large and I was wondering will steam recognize the installation if I copy content over two DVD-s(4.7 GB )? I am asking beacuse stores who are selling large DL discs are rarety in my country, and I don't want to bother with ordering one simple disc...

Solution
I'm assuming you want to do this to avoid entirely redownloading them. If so, why use optic supports?

Buy an external HDD (1TB if you're impatient, 500GB if you're not).
It'll be faster than burning contents on multiple discs, it'll cost you much less if you find the right offer (and we're still in Black Friday's week sales on amazon... http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005J7YBRW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1417073835&sr=1-1&pi=AC_SY200_QL40 ) and will potentially allow you to transfer 6+ full uncompressed games rather than 1 on multiple discs.

Once you're done, you can just wipe it clean and use it for something else, while a disc would just stay there waiting to be used...

Yeah,I was thinking the same thing but right now I'm building a new gaming rig and one more component and it would be over the budget,so maybe later...No other way then?

Optic supports are a way, but they just feel like a waste when you can get much more space for such less money IMO. You don't necessarily need a 500gb one if your library isn't that extended, or get the one I linked, which mainly costs more because of it being a 2.5" HDD.
Still, if you don't have the money for an external HDD and you just want to transfer a small amount of data (<10 GB), they're both wasted, as you could redownload them with some patience, even on a 1Mbps connection.
If you wanted to transfer your entire library although, and I'm assuming this is the case, an external HDD would be the best choice, being reusable for relatively an infinite amount of times.

As far as it goes for Steam, you just need to point it to the right directory, run a local cache check for each game and it'd synchronize itself; if you wanted, you could even keep the games installed on an external HDD, although that's highly discouraged. So, if you went for the multi-disc way and did or didn't split data, it wouldn't matter.
