Splitting a 4k TV into multiple "monitors"

Hi Toms Hardware,

Does anyone know of a device that will take in two HDMI/Displayport cables as input, and combine them into two side-by-side 1920x1080 (or taller) images for output to a 4k display? I would like to find a way to use two different computers on one TV, at the same time. The TV unfortunately does not have any native splitting functionality.

Sure. If you google "4k quad multiviewer" you will see lots of devices. They just aren't cheap. Figure $200 to $2K for the necessary hardware.
