when you purposely make your product harder or more frustrating to use then it is bad for business
logical thinking makes you not purposely hinder the functionality or usability of a program, most honest developers spend lots of time making their product as user friendly and easy to use as possible, adding drm will just make the product annoying especially when it is of no benefit to the user and the product can function better with out it
given the choice, everyone will pick whats easier to use and less frustrating
if ford came out with a new car that looks cool and has many new features but they bashed in the hood and windshield of every cat that they made, would you buy the car?
