I'm thinking about spraypainting my keyboard case. It's plastic. Should I sand it down or is it enough to just use primer then spray paint for best result? I also wonder if spray painting plastic can make the case become kinda sticky to the touch?

What make and model keyboard?

Current color - new color?

Difficult to know sometimes how plastics will react to things like glue, paint, and cleaners.

Either short term or long term.

With paint there is the rule to "test" a bit and apply a spot of paint somewhere that will be out of sight.

Determine if the paint really adheres, dries, does not become sticky etc....

Be willing, overall, to consider the keyboard case expendable.

Its an Ikki68 Aurora r2. Its transparent blue. I want to paint it matt white. If there is a good chance it wont be successful I wont do it.

Difficult to know how well matt white would cover over the blue.

At $153 USD (or higher) I would not risk painting the keyboard.,

Consider selling the Aurora Blue keyboard and purchasing the Aurora Snow keyboard.

Still that might entail more of a $ loss than you are willing to accept.

If the current keyboard is working - just stay as is.

The color may grow on you and/or you will realize that the color does not really matter. :)

Yes, it's that keyboard. I agree, it's a rare colorway and chances are I will just ruin it by spray painting it.
