I've been hearing advertisements on the radio for Sprint, and their ad says that Nielsen has determined their network is the fastest......however, I had sprint, and everywhere I went in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, it was horribly slow. I didn't realize how bad it was until I switched to Verizon.
Does anyone know more about this, or the data behind it, I'd be really curious to see the actual data being presented. The other possibility is that Nielsen is purely providing some garbage advertising for Sprint.
I did some research of my own, when I was having problems with my Sprint, I would run a speed test on the speedtest.net app. I went to their website, they have a page called speedtest awards, in which they post the average data rates for mobile carriers.
I selected every state in the US, and Sprint was 4th place in all of them except 5, and only in one case was sprint 2nd place.
Does anyone know more about this or have any data?
Thanks.
