Actually quite a few "meese" 'round here; as a promo thingy, the City
had a bunch of fibreglass ones made up... they tend to show up in the
most bizarre places.

Aaahh, Canada - must send that URL to my Sis.
None to be found here in the wilds of Montreal - that's for sure.
But that's a whole different ball of wax.

They're not 'my' deep-fried Mars Bars - although I have to admit to a
hankering after one (for experimental purposes only - never tried it yet!).
The idea did seem to originate north of the border IIRC - but I suspect it
was a Sassenach pandering to the Scots' well-known sweet tooth.

Glasgae, I believe.

If it was instigated by the noble English, in Glasgow, it can *only* have
been a misunderstanding!

That has the same effect on me as the thought of deep-fried Mars Bars! The
ominous gastric gurgle is in the same key.

The point being, though - and if I knew about this at the time, I'd long
since forgot - they were made by a Canadian!

So, this is a tourist thing? Come to Toronto, it's barking...........

Shane

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsme.general (More info?)

Sheesh!! I go away for 10 days and come back to see Shane is now blathering
on about Meese and Mars Bars.......LOL!!

1. Mars Bars are made about 20 minutes from my house.

2. Moose/meese.....saw one in Maine about 4 years ago.....rather large,
clumsy animal that you don't want to run into.

3. Fibreglas Meese.....friend of mine got paid big bucks to paint a couple.
One was for Lastman, Rick.....he didn't like it. But then again, did you
ever see his wife??

Still not entirely back on Earth!! Blame that on trying to get thru Silj's
home town which has the worst roads in Canada.....grin. Not to mention the
crazy drivers!!

Quebec was lovely as usual.....but it rained for most of our trip. One day
was 40C plus and bleepin' HOT.....the next day was 11C and raining. Oh
well.....at least it was a break and the food was wonderful!! No Mars bars
tho. (or meese)

XX Figgs
