SSD and IRST Questions

I just bought and installed my first SSD. I bought a Samsung 850 EVO 500gig, and did a successful cloning using the data migration software that came with, made the SSD my boot drive, and everything seems to be working well.

Now, when I run the Samsung Magician software, one of the optimization options is "write Cash". The description of this option doesn't say much, it just says it must be enabled to maximize the SSD's performance. It won't let me activate it though. It says that it can't be activated while using the Intel Rapid Storage Technology, which is enabled on my PC.

Do I need to disable IRST? Would it really make any performance difference?

Thanks,
