I want to install a 120gb ssd only as a boot drive. I will not store anything else in it. I am thinking of purchasing the WD green 120gb version. I want to know if 120gb is enough for windows 10. I have heard that as the drive storage size gets smaller, the more the drive is accessed and its life span gets reduced. Is it true? Should I get a 240GB just for boot?

Depends on your budget and how attentive you are.
I only have a 120GB SSD for windows and programs, its large enough for that no problem, I have 60 gigs free, so I could install a reasonably sized game too.

That being said, depending on the use for the system a larger SSD is a good move if its not much more.

What about the life span of small ssd?
