SSD clone to SD card

I have an SSD that is soldered to the motherboard of my EEE pc 2g surf netbok. I was considering cloning the ssd to an sd card (8GB) and then re-formatting the ssd to erase the OS (Windows XP). Unfortunately I'd first have to boot up from the SD card first and I can't do that with two bootable drives in the computer... Can anyone please help me?

Download an ISO of Clonezilla (Google it) and burn to CD. Boot from the Clonezilla CD (with an external optical drive, of course). Make sure you attach you SD card first.

Using the default options, you should be able to step through the selections to do as you are describing. Costs nothing and is very easy to do.
