Whats the differences between the Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V7E1T0) (Link ) vs the
Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-76E1T0) (Link), is there performance differences or such. Explain this to me in layman's terms, as im not very knowledgeable in this area of expertise.

Nvme is much faster, as its interface is much faster, than that of SATA. Nvme uses PCI-E lanes.

The 970 is NVMe, the 860 is SATA III.
In benchmarks, the 970 NVMe drive is much faster. It is also more expensive per GB.

But depending on your particular use case and the rest of the system, you may not even notice that speed difference.
