i want to check whether my laptop dell inspiron 7559 is compatible with samsung evo 860 m.2 sata 3 vnand technology or not ?

i've seen some users does installed samsung evo 850 in same laptop but in my country 850 is not available and the specs of 850 and 860 are almost same so please check it for me whether it's compatible for my laptop or not as my laptop has internal ssd seperate slot available with free space !

The issue is not 850 vs 860.
The question is m.2 vs 2.5".

Unless the laptop has a dedicated m.2 port, the 860 EVO m.2 will not work.
A 860 EVO 2.5" drive WILL work.

They are the same basic drive, just in different packages and connections.

Yes my laptop has a dedicated slot for ssd . It’s gaming laptop and it does have a separate slot for ssd which is empty yet so i can install ssd here and thing is which ssd is compatible. I’ve seen same users as my laptop using Samsung evo 850 m.2 and it works perfectly but as 850 is not available in my country should i go for 860 as both having same specs

From a review, it seems that you have two storage slots.
  1. It looks like your laptop came with a 128gb m.2 sata ssd installed.
  2. There is an empty space for a 2.5" sata ssd.
That would be where others have installed a samsung 850 ssd.
The equivalent would be a 860 evo or a 860 QVO device.
There are also PRO variations which are more expensive giving you more longevity(not a worthwhile purchase)

If you want a larger m.2 device for the windows C drive, you can buy a 860 evo m.2 device. To copy your C drive over to a larger m.2 device buy a usb to m.2 adapter cable and use the Samsung ssd migration aid to copy windows to the new device.
Then simply replace the smaller ssd with the new larger unit.

Here is a video on how to do the change.

The 2.5" slot can hold a 2.5" ssd.
It will be a sata device like the 850 or the 860 2.5" ssd
M.2 is a size format. About the size of a stick of gum.
Your m.2 slot can hold a m.2 ssd.
The thing you should be careful about is if the m.2 slot can support a sata m.2 device or a pcie m.2 device which is faster sequentially and costs more.
Some m.2 slots will not support pcie connection.

Do you know the size of the drive you now have installed?
Do you know where it is installed.
If in doubt, take the back cover off and look.

Are you looking to replace an existing drive or are you looking to add a drive.

Your laptop could have been configured with a variety of drive options.
You really need to know exactly what you have in order to make a decision that does what you want.

If you have the exact model number or the serial number perhaps we can find out.
